Tour back on . . . it seems.
ICC has suspended the ban against Harby . . . whatever that means?

The ban is stayed. When you appeal against it the ban is stayed.
And the tour was never off in the first place.

And quite right too. I mean, Harbhajan might be a racist piece of shoite but he is Indian. His country pumps shedloads into the ICC. I don't see why India don't just ask the ICC to award India the 2nd Test for the simple fact they even let that monkey Symonds complain.

You haven't had to live with the Blair government for the last however many years. Thats spin!
So they have appealed. I take it that means that there will be a 3 Indian panel for it, and he'll get off on a technicality or something.
Got to love the disciplinary procedure in cricket!

Or we could just label Harbhajan racist because Symonds said so, and his pals backed him up, and even though Tendulkar denied that Harbhajan was remotrly racist in any of his comments, we'll just convict him because he comes from big bad India with their money , and we gotta stick it to them, and because he looked kinda funny at the Australian players.

I'm glad you've stopped over-reacting to every post, doremi. I find this new objectivity of yours very refreshing . . .

If that is the case, then Mike Proctor is probably the most stupid human being on this planet. Do you really think he'd be brainless enough to charge a player with a rascist charge if he had no evidence to back it up? That could be any player from any country, but even moreso an Indian player with the BCCI on their soap box already in the test!

I wonder if harbi would have been playing in perth anyway had this whole circus not started?
I guess India could play pathan as a 5thbowler/allrounder but they can't go into a perth test with 2 seamers.

That may well not be the case, and Bhajji could well be racist, but the Indian team and management have been as vehement that no substantial evidence backs up the racism charge. AFAWK now, Symonds, Clarke and Hayden's word was taken over Tendulkar's. And that in short is a joke.
And the above post was really a response to. -

Oh dear. Boo-farkin-hoo. So if the tour goes on, India play brilliantly in Perth and win and there are some bad decisions made AGAINST Australia (by whoever the BCCI blackmails to replace Bucknor) then you'll dry your tears and smile again? FFS man, let it go. No amount of sooking will change what the record books now show. Or does it just make you feel better whining incessantly?doremi wrote:Or we could just label Harbhajan racist because Symonds said so, and his pals backed him up, and even though Tendulkar denied that Harbhajan was remotrly racist in any of his comments, we'll just convict him because he comes from big bad India with their money , and we gotta stick it to them, and because he looked kinda funny at the Australian players.

I absolutely expect a backlash from the umps in Perth . . . the Aussies better not let a ball hit their pads.

The funny part is that I had previously considered doremi and Vikas as two of the more level headed Indian fans here. Shows that even I can be wrong.

No mate, it was my response to another whinge in general. I was just looking for what might cheer you up. An Indian win with a few sprinkles on top (some bad calls against Punter's boys) might do the trick, ay?? I'm guessing a caught behind that Punter misses by 6 inches would give you a woody.doremi wrote:Which part of the post you quote was remotely anything concerning the umpiring skully?

Aye, doremi has surprised me. He has normally been one of the more well-reasoned of our Inidan mates. Clearly Bucknor has made him snap. I wonder how he would react if we called Dravid, SRT and VVS "blantant cheats".taipan wrote:The funny part is that I had previously considered doremi and Vikas as two of the more level headed Indian fans here. Re: Tour back on . . . it seems.
In fairness to Doremi - "reasoning" does tend to go AWOL where accusations of racism run rampant in a series dogged with "he said", "you said" accusations which result in just the one culprit (astonishing) being nobbled by the match referee!
To disregard SRT's contribution indicates ( the guy was a few yards away, after all!) IMO, a gross oversight on Proctor's part, thus prompting the question :
Was Proctor trying to "set an example" by using Bhajji as a scapegoat to stamp out the other crap that clearly is going on between the two teams this series?
Knowing full well that Bhajji is a hot-headed arse?
Think there's more to this issue that meets the eye.
