Dave Taylor and Greg Bird caught up now.
Hard to see the Titans not winning the spoon.

I did get these World Cup Challenge trial games. Why are the Broncos playing some English SL side?

Re: Rugby League 2015
Good question, Nath. I have no clue. The Dragons played Warrington a couple of nights ago. Dunno what these other games are about.
Souths play St Helens for the World Club Challenge Cup tomorrow.

Re: Rugby League 2015
maybe they can bring back the NRL vs ESL World Cup Championship like in the old Superleague days, and we can smash all the ESL teams to bits again.

Re: Rugby League 2015
They're essentially exhibition games, skull - no prize as such so far as I know.
That said, there's pride at stake and "bragging rights" up for grabs, so both games were full-on, and taken seriously by all concerned.
Our fans obviously like the chance to see top Australian sides, as all three games pretty well sold out.

Re: Rugby League 2015
No, not yet, Growls. 1st game is Thurs March 5 between premieres Souths and the Broncos in Brisbane.
Speaking of the Rabbits, looks a pretty good effort by them v St Helens overnight.
Meanwhile, the Titans drama gets worse with 5 players now named in the cocaine stings. They can't pay their bills, have no training ground or HQ offices, and have no major sponsor. They're farked for 2015.
How long before this 3rd incarnation of a top level side on the Gold Coast folds and they open another in FNQ or the Spiv Central Coast?

Geez, Michelin Man Trent Merrin boxes above his weight. His squeeze is die-hard Drags supporter pro-surfer babe Sally Fitzgibbon...

Manly withdraw from the Cherry-Evans race.
no idea who to tip in Round 1. Just have to guess and hope for the best. Might even tip the Dragons.

Geez I wish the NRL would sort their contract negotiation rules. This tripe of players agreeing to leave NEXT year before THIS has even started shits me.

Re: Rugby League 2015
Ooh Nath, I'm the worst person to ask. I rarely have confidence in my team, and I really haven't seen much form from them in the handful of pre-season trials. Storm are always hard.

Re: Rugby League 2015
terrific to see the Bronkettes back under the tutelage of the master Whine Bennett get a right royal flogging....seeing the Bronx get towelled is as good as seeing Manly, Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon go down for the count....hey its up there with Pom losses and Spiv Shield humiliations

Pretty lacllustre performance. Bennet doesn't seemed to have rectified the stupid mistakes that have become their trademark and they looked woefully out of shape.
