Meanwhile Bailey and McDermott have surrendered to the Sozzies, Doolan the # 4 and new specialist keeper stands on the burning deck with Triffitt the ex-keeper and now specialist # 7 batsman, and an innings defeat seems likely.

Dan Marsh it was who so unceremoniously shoved Hilfy out the back door. 'Youth Policy, youth policy' OK, but too many changes too soon.

Rose is hardly tearing up trees as Doherty's replacement, either.

Jayzus, the Tozzies folded badly at the back end of the season. Were their heads on Mad Monday?

In other news, the Spivs have their noses in front in Alice. Fingers crossed that the Alice deck will spin on day 4 for Elmer to weave his magic.

And with the Sandies all over the Banjos, the race for a Final berth is fairly wide open.

So, with their flogging of the Tozzies, the Barrels are now actually top of the table on 49.83, with the most likely overtaker being the Spivs.

Silent Les has passed the 300 fc wicket mark is close to 300 shield wickets (299 shield and 301 fc if I add the stats correct) ...the billies need to bowl again
