By Cricket Monthly.

Eight photos with captions celebrating the often too-little-sung feats of keepers.

Could almost form the basis of a picture quiz.

But definitely a keeper, in any case.

From the article:

Keepers are often judged on their work standing up

No f*cking kidding.   I kept wickets for my high school and college teams by the dubious, and possibly debatable, virtue of being the best fielder.

Then I saw a Delhi university keeper standing up helmet- less to what I thought was medium pace. My gawd!

the Taibu effort was a cracker.

Nice to see Len Maddox, a great Vix keeper, even if it was for a supposed eccentricity.

As good a place as any to stick this article on keeping:

Bob Taylor used to say that a decent slip-fielder could do the job standing back. I reckon the two best standing up I've laid eyes on are Knott and Healy

Nice article but there is no reason why any keeper shouldn't become a half decent batsman.

Taylor, Russell, Healy, Berry, and Kirmani the neatest I've seen.
