A barely recognisable SA team narrowly loses the last game, hence the series, which provides the Lankans with their first ever series win in the republic.

AB celebrated his return by top scoring for the hosts with 63 from 44 balls.

SA's depth is certainly being tested by the defections to England.

So far:

Lanka won the JAMITT series 2-1 (perhaps surprisingly - although some SAf picks looked odd)

SAf won the the 1st ODI easily.

Useful little net for Faf. 185 - just missed beating Gary Kirsten's SAf record of 188* v the mighty UAE.

And at 1-203 off 27 overs, the Lankans were well in the match. Even at 4-307 off 43 they still looked good, but a phone number effort by the 2nd half of the batting farked up the chase.
