Ireland and Afghanistan to get Test status at ICC meeting?

They are discussing a conference method of tests,2 groups of 6.
No one seems against it.
Where as India was against the relegation of sides after 7,and a 2nd division,so that idea died.
They do the conference system in the US,could be baseball or basketball not sure,could be the NFL for all I know,its just an American system.

Bannies opposed the relegation model. It recognised a period of test series away from home would increase the prospect of many defeats
