Re: Australia v England, 2nd Test, Adelaide, 2-6 December, 2017
Maxwell and Burns are the only players they MIGHT bring in. Neither of them offer a viable bowling option in Perth.
There's always Mitch Marsh, I guess. He might have made enough runs to convince today. Just watch as he is named in a 13 man squad, then squeaks into the XI.

Barely a yelp. Neither team possesses the right mix of skill and grit.
Changes for Oz? Mere for Sneak will cause riots in Victoria. Putrid gave up 7 byes on a docile pitch and missed two chances, but he's there to stay as the 'specialist' keeper who makes handy runs and makes Healy feel good. Haze's first spell today keeps Bird out.
What about England? I expect no changes. Very disappointing day for them and their fans. The Balmy Army will continue to drink heavily.

That was an easier ask than the Perth test where SA chased down the 414. It was gettable today, but Ali at #6 seems a bit high. Agree that JB should be batting further up the list.

Well, I have to say it is exceedingly pleasant to be nervously anticipating the score after attending a funeral and finding that it went with the Good Guys script.
I have to confess to sneaking an update after the pretty emotional service, prior to tea and scones with the rellies. By that stage England had lost Woakes, Root and Ali, so it put a spring in my step as I headed for the cucumber sandwiches.
Well done Aus, and commiserations to England. Bring on Perth.

If the NSP was fair dinkum they'd put Wank out to pasture for a spell. However, h makes the valid point that there is little Shield cricket in the next few weeks, limiting his chances of finding extended cricket form.
It'll be interesting to see what the XI looks like for Perth. I'm guessing unchanged.
For England, I'm sure they are pleased with the improved form of the quciks in the 2nd innings. And Overton's performance was highly creditable. Their main concerns are obviously with their fragile batting.

Surely Vince has to go but who do they bring in?

Put Bairstow up the order and bring Foakes in. I know Jonny wants to keep but he would be more valuable in the top five.
Has anyone got any substantial runs with the Lions yet?

Trott has no guts he can't even stand the sledging let alone the pressures from the players ...YOU CAN FORGET HIM.

My all time favourite pom bat was another chubby fellow. Colin Milburn batted with absolute relish. The current Pomgolian team could do with him in the top order.

FFS!!!...they've done it. Mitch Marsh has been brought into the squad at the expense of Sayers. How many times does this guy have to fail before the idiot NSP realise he just can't hack it at test level.

Farkin lol.
The steak knives in any bargain basement team is back. Mere is the consistently worst Cricketer to have played cricket for Australia.
His bowling is inaccurate medium pace. Each ball heads to the other end with the resignation of condemned prisoner.taking his final steps.
His batting is of course a joke. He is the worst number 6 batsman in the history of Test Cricket. He approaches the wicket like the rabbit he is. He has two shots . A straight drive tonk and his speciality, the get-out shot.
Now some say he has talent. They are deluded.
The Poms will head to Perth knowing they will play against a ten man team.
Sorry S - I guess I am being negative again

If it wasn't the Poms (or the Bannies), I would barrack against Australia and cheer when he fails which he will undoubtedly do.
While today was a damp squib, I have been enjoying the series. The NSP have taken that away.
