Re: Trivia 2018
In the recent Roses County match, Joe Root was a victim in a hattrick by Jordan Clark, then came out and took 4-5 with his off spin to claim career best figures. Remarkably, this has happened 4 times in Tests. When?

No. Trumble's victims were Arthur Jones, John Gunn and Sydney Barnes at Melbourne in 1901-02, and Bernard Bosanquet, Plum Warner and Dick Lilley at Melbourne (2) in 1903-04.

Re: Trivia 2018
It is an understandable mistake. Qmy is correct that Howstat show the 2nd test of that series as being the one in which Trumble took the hat-trick. However, Howstat has got it wrong. There were 2 Melbourne tests in that series & Trumble had great success in both but the hat-trick was in the 5th test.

Pretty sloppy, I would've thought. I have contacted Howstat twice over the years to correct errors in their stats. So this is another example.

I meant that it was understandable that Qmy would accept their stats as being correct.

Oh, OK.
I checked Cricinfo and Wiki, as my confidence in Howstat is not optimal.

Having said that, Howstat have been grateful for corrections, citing the voluntary nature of their web site in compilation, upkeep and maintenance as a reason for the odd error.
