Re: India may veto Adelaide night test
Yeah a night test might be their only hope despite our woeful state. Interesting that the decision came whilst the occasionally was in town.

Big deal. We were told previously. Doesn't justify why they won't play ball, literally.

In a bilateral series... If one team doesn't want to take part in a specific set of conditions, why should they have to? As is is, I'm sure that a day test would be a better sporting contest than all the night tests so far.
Unlike DRS, it's hardly been adopted worldwide.

Respectfully disagree. Next the Bannies will argue for them to have to agree on which grounds are used and pitch conditions.

Official. Bannies are refusing to play a day/night test. Probably because of our record in pink ball tests & without our best batsmen, India think they might steal this one.
Re: India may veto Adelaide night test
I suppose, on the bright side, it shows that the Bannies still take Tests very seriously.
So much so that they are shit scared to play under lights for fear of being embarrassed.

For once I agree with the bannies. Not a fan of pink ball tests.

I'm not either and hawkeye for lbws suck. But the bannies should get on board. Think of the crowds and ratings if they played them at home.

They tried to schedule one against NZ in 2016. I think NZ refused.

Shows who runs the ICC.
Even the Lankans are playing a provincial pink ball match in preparation for Aus.

I am not sure that this has anything to do with the ICC.

As the over seeing organisation, they should have the right to veto in this situation.

The Bannies certainly can't lay claim to being "early adopters" in the great game.

Yeah but like everything they do once they start they do it so much better than anyone else.
Clive would be proud of the naked greed and disregard for international rules.

The grounds, dates etc have always been agreed by the two teams.

Exactly, and as you said, there was the New Zealand test in India which didn't occur due to New Zealand's reticence.taipan wrote:Blackadder wrote:taipan wrote:Blackadder wrote:Shows who runs the ICC.

Just seems to be an extra bit of drama always with cricket Australia and the BCCI.

I honestly don't get the angst over this. Does it really matter if it's a pink ball test or not?
