*BREAKING NEWS*
In order to gain a home final, Geelong have added 60,000 seats to their stadium. All the added seating will be located outside the stadium as a clear view of the action shouldn’t be a priority.
When asked where they got their idea from, they said the basketball events at Marvel Stadium from the weekend that were such a success.
Geelong staff were amazed that the Waurn Ponds Bunnings had the required amount on the shelf.

The answer is Dollars
Not really sure what your question is about but with the AFL the answer is always Dollars

The bye round. That can't be about dollars. Nothing is happening.

The All Oz team has all WA leadership, with Nat Fyfe as Akela and Shannon Huon as captain of vice.
Leading me to wonder: has the all-Australian cricket team ever had a WA top two?

Just shows you do not have to attend a good school to excel.
Good acknowledgement for Fyfe. He is one of my favourite players.

Ta Nath. I take it you're just quoting the AFL, because it sounds like total bullshit. Deprives me too. Didn't those AFL qunts think of that?

https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-09-02/its-here-for-the-foreseeable-future-gill-backs-prefinals-bye
this is the actual spin: McLachlan cited finals fixture flexibility, fitter teams and strong ticket sales and television ratings as benefits of the bye.
"We're still playing nine finals, it just means that we have the fittest teams available, we've got a great build up," McLachlan said on Monday.
"Since we've been having it we've had the highest-attended final series ever, we've had the highest-rating final series ever.
"We can play on Thursday night, it gives us flexibility which means we have greater equity through the finals series.
"And people are just ... keen for the footy to come. But I think when it starts we're better prepared, there's better build up, we've had unbelievable finals series since we've been doing it. And we're happy to keep it going."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
People who were going to go to the games and/or watch on tv will do that anyway because it's finals!

Essendon's 15 year drought of finals wins continues ... and then there were seven.
Nervous ahead of tonight's QF match v the hated Pies.

Re: AFL 2019
Exactly as feared overnight. Pies out to a 20 point lead in the first 5 minutes; the rest of the match an arm-wrestle we won narrowly, but not by enough to bring the margin below 10 points. A couple of shocking set shot misses by Rohan and Hawkins didn't help.
Ugh.
Ugh.

Most of them seemed like they had engine oil on their hands too. Mind you that Dangerfield clearance at the death could have been the stuff of legend.

No fairytale for the Dogs this year.
I'm now hoping that Brisbane can hurt the Tigers tonight.
