Afghanistan were going well until the run out of Rahmat Shah for 23. They are now 2/62. They will be helped by the return of Rashid Khan.

Probably famous last words but the Ghanis are going along nicely on 3-146 in the middle session of Day 1.

Is he the first player with his nationality in his name to score a Test hundred? I don’t remember us ever having a player called English for example...

The closest I can think would be Habibul Bashar but he was a Bashar & not a Banga.

There have been examples in other sports - Petr Cech, for example... obviously in terms of non-matching nationalities, Bruce French played Tests for England!
