Evidently there are two young keepers who have been vying for his spot in recent times. One imagines they promote Olivier if it's a pacy desk at Joburg and play him alongside Rabada, Ngidi and Yunsen who impressed at Centurion.

This is bizarre. Is this a dummy spit of Swann proportions - 'I am not carrying drinks out to Monty'?

Reminiscent of when Peter Crouch and Shaun Wright-Phillips came on as subs together for the England football team…Red wrote:Hope they retain Yunsen so if these two bat together again we can see how cricket is a game of the long and the short of it.

Coalie has back spasms and Rahul will captain and he has elected to bat. Vihari replaces the former. SA has brought back Olivier who had COVID and dropped Mulder which means they have five pacers and a spinner. Verreynne replaces QDK.

Kyle Verreynne. A ranga with a couple of Tests to his name.
FC career - 50 matches for 3429 runs at 51.95 HS 216* with 5 100s & 22 50s.
Tidy.

Is that also true of his keeping, though?skully wrote:Kyle Verreynne. A ranga with a couple of Tests to his name.

SAf potentially on top. Depends on what their middle order does in today's play.

With KP2 gone and Golden Razzie falling cheaply, a lot now rests on Bavuma to get them up to a first innings lead.

Petersen's post fifty innings did seem a bit like Usman Afzaal's fifty celebration.

Pyjama and Jinky shore things up after a couple of early wickets. Expect 200 lead would be enough for India though they’ll be keen to get a bit more than that if they can.

India 161 ahead with 4 wickets in hand. Looks like a nail-biter here.

Agree, their bowling was a bit wayward today. Interesting confrontation between Jansen and Bumrah.

Only if the top six get them to within about thirty or forty runs. Their tails starts at seven and it's brittle.
