Didn’t realise how long it was since Afghanistan played a Test, that was before the country fell to the Taliban again I think. Remains to be seen whether there will be many more.

And Khaled Ahmed’s not even playing. Ebadot kept his stats unchanged with 0 not out, and Awful Shoriful also matched his par with 6… Taskin’s actually a handy number 8, he averages 12!

Ghanis currently 7-128. Ebadot has 4-39.

Ebadot has now managed to get his bowling average below 50. I remember when his bowling was rubbish. Now he is a superstar!

More than halved his average halfway through his 20th Test - 107.00 (after his 1st Test - blew out to 191 after 2 then came into 153 after 3) to 47.75.

His 11th Test was the turning point. He took 7 wkts in the match v NZ (including 6-46 in I2) which saw his average drop from 81 to 56.

Bangers motoring along nicely at 1-167 (403 in front).

Shanto is 75* and heading for a ton in each innings.

Great to see Zahir Khan make 4 runs after failing to trouble the scorer in his previous 7 innings in test cricket. Interesting that he appears to be have been recorded "Retired Out" rather than "Retired Hurt".

The good news is that Cricinfo has changed their scorecard to now show Zahir Khan as "Retired Not Out" & his batting average has shot up to 1.33
