Seems like the Bangers are slowly finding their test middle order. Mushfiqur in the last test, and now Mahmudullah here. If Shakib can show more application with the bat then they could have a half decent 4,5, and 6.

I think the Bangers are a bit like Shane Watson (until recently). Enough talent, no self-belief.

their problem has always been opening and playing the new ball for 20 overs without losing a wicket.

lastly they do not seem to be comfortable playing pace.

Once both get tired, there is no third seamer for rotation. And what Bangladesh batsmen fear most is pace esp the variety that is above the kneepad rolls.
