According to a report in New Scientist, four countries are forming a network vowing to become carbon neutral. Iceland, emitting gases from their aluminium smelters, plans to run on geothermal energy. Costa Rica wants to reverse its deforestation. Norway, now polluting the North Sea with its oil platforms, says it will capture its emissions and bury them. New Zealand's problem stems mostly from farting sheep and cows, and is planning to, erm, do something.
