Don't know enough about it, taips, but that want stop others from commenting, I'm sure.
I just hate to see this stuff weaken the SA team.

Apparently he is not in the right frame of mind to give his best.
This is what happens with AA selections. Everyone loses

...Except the administrators, who are seeking political advancement and are really the people for whom it is done.

Yep, that's the problem.
Now they will probably go for Zondeki and Nel will chuck it.

Re: Langeveldt pulls out of tour
Yes, he is right to do it. If every AA selection did it the administrators will look like bigger and bigger prats every time. Imagine Langeveldt withdraws, then Zondeki is named to replace him but Zondeki withdraws, then Tsotsobe replaces him but he withdraws as well, then Mbhalati is selected but he also withdraws, then Yasser Abdullah until the only AA choice left is some U19 medium pacer. Except that he also withdraws until the only option left is either Norman Arendse or Gerald Majola themselves. Obviously they can't withdraw, so they play and are carted around India at 20 runs an over. Suddenly I'm all erect again.
I am proud of Langeveldt for doing this. He could've done with the exposure and the money I'm sure, but he took the moral high ground instead. I'm sure Andre Nel appreciates it immensely.

I hope Arsedense now understands the folly of his ways.

Intersting - AA, if it can at all be, might be justified where there is a 50/50 call to be made. However, presumably in this case whoever the next best black player is will be markedly inferior to Nel.

Re: Langeveldt pulls out of tour
Langeveldt has admitted that Nel deserved selection ahead of him. This is a clear case of political manipulation. AA should be applied where there are borderline calls but in the case of test cricket Nel was the no brainer here.

Read about why he did it. I think the Seth Effricans can justifiably take pride in Langeveldt.

Have to say, I'm surprised that Charl even qualifies as a black player - he looks as black as Dizzy looks Aboriginal.

Have absolutely no idea, apart from the fact that Boeta should have qualified.

Well the likes of Langerveldt are hardly likely to be an inspiration of what can be achieved by a 12 year old kid from Soweto.
