covered in macgooey stuff today...in a slavish piece CA website has conspired with macdill to ensure his selection for the windies tour ...get this

"With solid returns of 2/36 and 2/118 in the Pura Cup final and a fully healthy body for the first time in five years, the future holds plenty of promise for the 37 year-old. Most players would be content with 203 test wickets at an average of 28.14 but with the retirement of Brad Hogg and a place in the Australian test side up for grabs, MacGill isn’t prepared to hang up the spikes just yet."

match figures of 4/154 were hardly a "solid return"...he only picked up wickets in the 2nd Vic dig from the batsmen going for quick runs to chase down an impossible target...he took no wickets on the last (5th ) day of a turning SCG wicket and was absolutely flogged

There is no point going with Magoo. He is well past it (and quite mad). We don't need him to beat the Windies anyway so let's go with whoever is next in line (not that I have any idea who that might be).

On the evidence, if he's already produced the sprog there's still a good chance of it being (born) a Pom.
