Ridiculous!! Test cricket dropped for.....

playing T20 in Florida with the ICL players!

Playing in a recent a Twenty20 invitational tournament in Florida along with some ICL cricketers cost Faisal Iqbal a place in Pakistan`s list of probables for Champions Trophy and the trouble is not still over for Javed Miandad`s nephew, according to sources.

The Pakistan Cricket Board omitted the Test batsman from the preliminary squad and according to PCB sources, any future course of action would be decided by the general body when it meets on July 24.

"Faisal is under great pressure as he just went to play in the invitational tournament after informing the board about the event. He went there since he has no assignments lined up with the national team or otherwise and wanted to make some
money," one source said.

He said Faisal`s name was initially included in the Champions Trophy preliminary squad but the board subsequently dropped him on the grounds that he was under investigation for playing alongside Indian Cricket League players in the invitational event.

Faisal, who has played in 21 Tests and 18 one-day internationals, opted to play in the event under the impression that since he was not a contracted player with the board it would not make a difference.

The invitational tournament organised by the Cricket Council of the United States included ICL players Imran Farhat, Hasan Reza and Imran Nazir while former captain and coach Javed Miandad led the Pakistan all-stars XI.

"Given the harsh attitude of the board towards ICL players, Faisal is fearing for the worst and for his career," the source added.

Slight typo there in the thread title

Apparently Sachin played for Lashings club recently where Dinesh Mongia (ICL player) and John Embury (a coach for an ICL team) were playing too.

Why did BCCI not ban Sachin? when it is their war and not ours.

I am sure the BCCI has its reasons, but mine is - Because the BCCI is full of wankers? And SRT is the only guy they cannot 'advice'?

I don't think the BCCI can ban a player from Pakistan from representing his country.

I am thinking about boycotting matches involving PAK and IND because i really dislike(hate is too strong of a word) both BCCI and the PCB.

In this case he has been given a BLUE eye by the PCB. I knew they were corrupt, gutless, incompetent etc etc but even i didn't think they would do something like this.
