Baby Spivs in trouble against the much more powerful looking Sandies. 4-91 after 25.

Woohoo. Sandies 6-105 off 31.

Poor ol' JL is commentating on Foxy and really stuggling to deliver an unbiased coverage. He's failing miserably. Sounds like he wants to strap the pads on and go and help North get the Wozzies home.

A good start by NSW. An away win is a good win.

I remember reading WA used to be coached to draw all their away Shield games and win as many as possible at home.

Had to laugh at Bob Parry inside the last 10 overs of the Wozzie innings. Gave the plumbest of plumb lbws (Ferny to Nemo - hit him on the full on the back foot which was rooted to the ground just in front of the crease, right in front of middle - even JL said it was "close").

Thankfully, the good guys prevailed, despite a heroic effort by North and Dorey.
