On the back of their stunning World Twenty20 final victory, the BCCI have entered into talks with CA to replace the 4-test series in Australia this summer with a 12-match T20 series.

CA are yet to respond . . .

Tends to happen when they lose a couple of games of cricket.

And vice versa if the Aussies get beaten people like you dismiss T20 as a complete joke.

Obviously it's not the ultimate form of the game, but it will be a big part of cricket's future, so the Aussies would be advised to start showing the same intensity towards it as India and Pakistan showed otherwise they could get left behind.

I actually think that it requires higher skill levels than 50 over cricket.

Jeez mate you pretty cocky considering your country invented 20/20 cricket have been playing it for 5 years and still got bounced out in the first round.

So don't worry about us i think we're pretty happy with 3 world cups in row and 12 test wins in a row.

At least we didnt give the impression that we just felt we had to show up to win it. You showed up with your ageing 50 over team, didnt bother preparing properly for each match, and consequently lost 3 players to hamstring injuries.

A team suffers 3 identical injuries in a 2 week period. Coincidence? I dont think so. They werent doing their warmups properly.

Yup, and if Punter and co. had the trophy in their posession then T20 would be the new black and the rest of us would be reminded how they dominate all forms of the game. Wink

Still at least they don't wallow in underacheivement like us Poms. Rolling Eyes

Come on, Barnesy, even if we won, T20 would still be a sideshow.

To be fair most of us here expressed our indifference about 20/20 before the comp began as did many of the australian players.

You talking the fans or players?

None of the Ozzies on here gave the tournament any credibility BEFORE we lost to the Zimbos which sort of proved our point ....and the players all basically said it was crap and then had to 'change' their opinion for contractual obligations

It's surprising how Australia now seems to be the only nation that hasnt embraced 20-20.

WTF are you talking about. CA has just expanded the number of rubbish games being played and it's pulling decent crowds. Dickhead.

So.... Timmy, a much better percentage of games were close. A simple apology and 'I was wrong' will do.
