They're going to go to Cardiff and the Rose Bowl ... you know it.
And maybe Skegness.
But not Cornwall.

I love Edgbaston. Such a lovely ground, where you feel more immersed in the match than in massive places like Eden Gardens or Brisbane.
I'm worried about Cardiff after hearing about Glamorgan's latest president and how he's basically fcuking up the county by raising ticket prices and adding masses of hospitality boxes to pay off the epic Ashes debt which it's in.

The former Glamorgan and England all-rounder, Peter Walker, is standing to become the president of the county, challenging the current incumbent, David East, the former secretary of the Welsh Rugby Union, and he accuses Russell of building a ground fit for Test match cricket but destroying the club in the process.

Yeah, feck 'em off and give us our annual Trent Bridge Test match back.
In fact, feck the taff tw@ts off n'all, and give us two.
Everyone loves Trent Bridge. Fact.

You've never been to Headingley then.... (well - pre 2000 anyway)
Edgbaston remains the ground with the best atmosphere in the country by a mile....

Nothing quite like having a nice pint then pissing it back into the glass an hour later.

Since Thatcher (spit) it's just an air of grievance... and wet ferret.

Re: 2009 Ashes: Last ever Test at Edbgaston!?
If the first test starts on May 1st and we have a nine day break between tests with the last test being back to back with the ninth then tenth test of the summer would end on September 1st.
Nine venues can get a test each and Lord's still gets two.
Heaps of ODIs and T20s can be played in the gaps between tests and in early September.
Test players can represent their counties in April and mid September (same as now).
Simple.

Edgbaston has one thing going for it - it isn't The Oval. Or is that The Brit Oval. Or The 'Give Us Enough Money and We'll Do Anything For You' Oval.
They're none of 'em Trent Bridge.
They're none of 'em Trent Bridge.
