It's official: Jonah is out for the season after an operation to drain the fluid from his knee.

A bit surprised that he hasn't announced his retirement tbh.

He's out of contract at the end of the season, and Worcs. are being cagey about whether or not he will be offered a new one

Sad.

Though surely worth a risk for someone on a pay as you play deal similar to the one Tudor got at Essex?

But he's had more injuries than Bob Key and Ian Blacksmith have had hot dinners.

Bloody-minded, I'd guess. He knows from last season that, if he get on the field, he's got shit-loads of wickets in him.

I'd expect a responsible surgeon to have a quiet word in his shell-like about the long-term implications of all of these ops, though.

He seems like the kind of bloke whose heart always rules his head - might need someone to spell it out for him: it's over.
