Eng v Ind, 6th ODI, The Oval, 5th September
3 - 2 to England, England have fitness problems - Fred's ankle, Bopara's thumb and I hear a rumour that Cook has dandruff. Thoughts anyone?

Come now fellow law-abiders. We know all too well that the following replacements will be on the cards:
Luke Wright for Flintoff.
Robin Martin-Jenkins for Bopara.
Chris Adams for Cook and his dandruff.
If Monty gets injured I heard someone called Saqlain may replace him?

Nothing really, why not give the slogger a whirl - we're not exactly crying out for another nurdler.
Re: Eng v Ind, 6th ODI, The Oval, 5th September
Is he good enough?
Certainly not with the ball. And looks a hacker to me with the bat. Surely thats what Prior is for?
Fine with him in the T20 smash giggle and run but not in a ODI...

But as they're already taking him the 20-20 thing, giving him a bit of international experience (even as just sub fielder) won't do him any harm.
Unless it dislocates his thumbs or something.

Re: Eng v Ind, 6th ODI, The Oval, 5th September
You would think theres no point in playing him unless its to biff at the top of the order. Thats how he got his call up.
They'll probably open with him and move Prior into the middle order.

Broad at 7 :pale:
We've gone from potentially a very strong team at Old Trafford to this mob

Apparently Sidebottom is fit again so imo he should replace Jon Lewis.
This has probably already been mentioned in the thread for the last game, but WTF was Collingwood thinking opening the bowling with Lewis instead of Broad the other day? Broad and Anderson have been all over the Indian batsman as an opening combination but for some reason it was decided to give the new ball to Lewis. Stupidest decision of the summer, imo.

I want to see this Sharma kid. India should play him instead of Gambhir or Karthik.

Karthik has looked like a comedy act in this ODI series. Especially in the field.

If you play the Benny Hill theme tune to footage of all his play and misses in the Test series that would seem quite comical too. In fact I may do it and put it on youtube.
Re: Eng v Ind, 6th ODI, The Oval, 5th September
This match will be India's 659th JAMODI which is the same as both Australia and Pakistan.
