He's talking about in Tests, of course, but still: South Africa worried about taking 20 wickets? Have they seen England's batting?

For a country that's quite good at Sport South Africans never strike me as being very confident.

After Steyn though I'm not sure who's going to be much of a threat.

But at least they have do have Steyn who's worth at least two Stuart Broads in the bush.

not sure if they're in the squad but morne morkel and wayne parnell are pretty decent. ntini is still ploughing on isn't he?

Steyn, Ntini, M. Morkel, Kallis and Harris was plenty enough to beat England last year.

Morkel might have gone backwards and Ntini's got a few more miles on the clock, but they've "discovered" Parnell, so I'd say they're at least no worse off than then.

Agree.
Parnell with Steyn in harness could do some serious damage.

Morne Morkel is just a gangling pie chucker.

What I've seen and heard of Parnell, which isn't much, is that he's exceptional at pitching the ball right up at pace and so prospers in the short form- is there any indication he can blast batsmen out in tests where they're not looking to blast every ball into row Z?

I believe Kari has a system. Involves Jenga, inflatable fruit and the "what didn't happen but should have happened so, really, it did happen" matrix.
