Thats it. Can't win or tie here. Not batting out our full quota for 2 overs and some 10 - 15 runs odd may have cost us dearly. Another finals choke to Lanka. How do they pull it off so regularly against us? It's a tradition......

They just seem to have the bogey on us in big matches [ODIs strictly speaking]. We really choke big time. This is probably our 20th final defeat since1999.....

Yeah, though recently SL seem to have the bogey on most teams. Maybe that's my bad memory, but they're always in there.

Personally I don't rate their fielding as highly as the gushes that come from most corners, but they're certainly well drilled. That alone helps them be competetive.

team BCCI didn't play to win. I could sense something like this coming from the start of this series. They were always going to throw the finals.

Due to the predictability of the D/N games in winter this tournament was a GREAT opportunity for people to make money.

first odi tournament where all matches (seven) were won by the team batting second

day matches would have made this tournament at least mildly interesting. i think more people were watching the ranji final than this match
