3. A standardised figure of ridicule, against which all other butts of ridicule can be calibrated..For example, FB's self-styled 'object of ridicule', Smerky, can't crack 0.5 on the powellometer, even when he tries to be as Welsh as possible. Come to think of it, isn't Powell a Welsh name?
