So where is the triumphant Wallabies thread?
Yes....despite a scrum that would have trouble mugging a pensioner in a zimmer frame, the mighty Wallabies crapped on England 27-17. Even the gay welsh ref awarding two penalty tries could'nt hold the Aussie backs from thrashing the Poms like a red headed stepson.
Can't wait till we get a full side back to see what they can really do.

If you have a look in the Cook Cup thread BD you'll discover that it was only a friendly & only the WC counts as meaningful

Gay welsh ref, qunt.
Granted he did have a bit of a high pitched accent, but the Aussie and English wouldn't understand him otherwise. Bascially, he was pandering to the players intelligence. hehehe.

Are the All Blacks regarded as the most successful team of the last decade? Why do you think they aren't, despite having won the most games and been number one for the most years?Mick Sawyer wrote:Big Dog wrote:Yes....despite a scrum that would have trouble mugging a pensioner in a zimmer frame, the mighty Wallabies crapped on England 27-17. Did you see the Frogs first try in their otherwise forgetful match against the Boks? Thrilling stuff.

It's not something I've ever considered. No question the results of World Cups are better remembered than the annual winners of say, the 6 Nations or the Tri Nations.
I will tell you this though, if I tried to convince anyone that the Wallabies have been a better team than the All Blacks since 1987 on the basis of RWC victories then I'd rightly be viewed as clueless. .

I thought a bloke with your pedigree would have been to all kinds of fancy nosh ups centring on the Cook Cup, powered by John O' Neil's AMEX.

Weird game - first half has some fantastic rugby from both sides, the second half was a boreathon.
Giteau missed a late goal from dead in front which would have won it for Aust.

If only England played like that all the time, combined with their scrum they'd be a consistent force to be reckoned with.

Saw some highlights. Sure Giteau's miss was bad, but our scrum was worse.
FFS, what is the Messiah doing? Can't he inject them with some All Black blood or sumpent??

Re: So where is the triumphant Wallabies thread?
Our scrum was better this week than last week.
Hopefully the ARU will not succumb to impatience with Deans. A lot of what he's doing behind the scenes is setting up a potential golden age for the Wallabies from around 2014 onwards. Check out what's going on in the Under 20 RugbyGilly (irb.com has video.) They need to keep him on board until the 2015 RugbyGilly.
