New Zealand v South Africa, 2nd Test, Hamilton, 15-19 March, 2012 Empty New Zealand v South Africa, 2nd Test, Hamilton, 15-19 March, 2012

Weather is expected to be fine.

Taylor has ordered a greentop from the curator there according to talk at the official presentations.

Ross seemed happier with the precipation saying that he thought it would have been tough for them to reach the target.

Rudolph is up for an expensive drinks bill re. Kallis because the latter implored him to review which he thought was a waste of time.

http://www.sport24.co.za/Cricket/SAinNZ/Rudolphs-expensive-round-20120311

If it is indeed a greentop, SA may opt for four seamers with de Lange replacing Tahir.

Brownlie and Watling have again been ruled out for the kiwis and it's likely they will opt for the same line-up but Mouthee needs to find more zip and start taking wickets.

Boundaries are super small at this venue.

NZ must have a death wish if they are contemplating preparing a greentop.

Ross Taylor wants it but a lot of the kiwi batsmen were hit during the Dunedin match on a slowish pitch. Nicol was pretty brave but Morkel landed quite a few blows on them. If it's a greentop they'd be mad not to go with de Lange who also generates lots of bounce and even more pace than Morkel. Tahir looks like he needs to slow down his pace and bowl with greater variety. He's not really adding that much to their bowling line-up atm.

He has a bit of a toe problem but is expected to pull through. His pace was down in Dunedin.

Meanwhile Mouthee really has headed Southee, he's been dumped for Hamilton and Arnel and Gillespie have been recalled. They also have Nethula in the mix to debut.

Also have interest is that Brad Hogg has been playing in the T20s in SA's domestic competition and doing okay. Levi had another scorching innings, while de Kock's reputation continues to rise (40 off 23).

Arnel and Gillespie are very conservative picks. I would have thought it would be worth giving Adam Milne a game. He's the quickest bowler in New Zealand.

Your assumptions continue to be wrong; I take an interest in cricket all around the world. And for that matter Hogg is an Aussie playing in your comp.

BTW it seems rather early for saffers to be up!

Or rather late for them to retire from their previous day!

You obviously don't notice me in the Aussie domesic threads.

And you don't have to have a watch set to SA time to understand the time difference.

And btw, I find it amusing that you say I have to be an ex-pat because I dislike SA. I work with SA ex-pats who might be negative about aspects of their country/society as they are with ours but they still barrack for the Proteas and the Springboks!

Thinks it's time for your fallacious assumptions to be put to bed once and for all!

FFS I have no connection to Africa. I was born and bred in Melbourne. One parent's Aussie heritage goes back to the 1850s, the other is British with no African connection anywhere.

Methinks perhaps that you want to be a SA expat living here!

Well you're erroneous again, although I know there's nothing I can do to disabuse you of these silly notions.

I also post on the pommy tour threads. Maybe I'm an English expat!
