Australia v West Indies, Only T20, 13 February, 2013
Can the Windies take anything away from this tour? Will 5,000 Banjos show up?

The shorter the form, the more chance they have. They are the world champs after all but one shouldn't hold one's breath about their chances given their apparent inability to convert winning positions. Their bowling apart from Narine looks leaky.

So whilst this is going on, half the Aussie team will be in India preparing for the real cricket. Strange.

Are there any F/C cricketers left in Oz who haven't represented the national side at some point this season?

Re: Australia v West Indies, Only T20, 13 February, 2013
WTF?
Rookie Burns on standby for T20 international
Queensland batsman Joe Burns is on standby for one-day centurion Adam Voges ahead of Australia's one-off Twenty20 international with the West Indies in Brisbane on Wednesday night.
Voges did not field in Sunday night's 17-run ODI win that sealed a five-match sweep of the Windies after tweaking his hamstring during his match-winning 112 not out.
Burns, 23, claimed the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year award at last week's Allan Border Medal ceremony after amassing 1,038 runs at 35.09 in all forms throughout the voting period.
He helped inspire Brisbane Heat's Big Bash League title win with a 27-ball 43 in the final against Perth Scorchers.
Meanwhile, Australian T20 captain George Bailey (hamstring) said he was confident of playing what will be the last international cricket clash on home soil this summer.
Bailey sat out Sunday night's ODI win at the MCG.

Am at Sanctuary Cove at the moment. Am thinking about going to this match as I've never been to the Gabba. I suspect that the lure of free beer will prevail though.

I've watched cricket & football at the Gabba. Its a great arena but i would'nt waste the entrance fee on this game. The side CA has offered up is both an insult to the Windies & the Australian cricketing public.

Do it, man. I'd never pass up that chance. I've only actually driven past the ground once on a business trip.JGK wrote:Am at Sanctuary Cove at the moment. Am thinking about going to this match as I've never been to the Gabba. I suspect that the lure of free beer will prevail though.

Of all the Australian venues, the Gabba and the WACA are the two I'd least like to visit.

Haddit's fluff only costs 7 as Hazlewood shortens up Crystal to be brilliantly caught by Denial.

It's amazing what a century can do for a batsman's confidence. He hadn't made even a first class hundred before the ODI at Melbourne and watching him bat you could see why, but now he suddenly looks like a dangerous international one day batsman.
