Apparently* there's a Test being played in Harare.

Zim are 2-189 at Stumps on Day 1.

A Zimbabwe Test? I’m looking around for flying pigs, hens’ teeth and rocking horse shit.

Looks like a decent start from the Frames, anyway. No idea what their current side is like in terms of talent level.

This one seems to be meandering to a draw.

This again is an excellent advert for 5 day cricket.

This would've been a very dull draw if it was a 4 day Test.

It’s almost as if teams have realised the fifth day is under threat and decided to actually start using it again.

It was suggested to me recently by a former forumer that Africa could mount a decent Test side if the Zimbabweans were allowed to field a couple of the better South Africans.

Great idea, I thought, but I'm all for allowing the best Kenyans to play for Africa as well. We already have the West Indies, so it's not difficult to entertain the idea of a multinational Test team.

Maybe there should be a 'whites' quota? No fewer than 2-3?

Kenya and others played as “East Africa” in the first World Cup, didn’t they...

Maybe a continental championship is in order, given there’s so many gaps in the global cricket calendar... Asia would be favourites, though with a few political challenges to overcome!
