Should be a pretty one-sided affair.
I hope little Shiv goes on with it.

Well under way now. Blokes who couldn’t buy a run in Australia scoring freely.

Kind of ironic that a WI side whose demise over the past 25 years appears to be largely driven by not having players with the application and technique for the long game, now pin their hopes of making a competitive total on a couple of blocktastic openers.skully wrote:Should be a pretty one-sided affair.

SAF post a decent score, exceeding 300 for the first time in ages. Hopefully the Windies bats, blockers and tonkers alike, can post a competitive total against Nortje and Rabada, who will have to bowl better than he did in Australia.

Geez, they fell in a heap though.
From 1-221 they lost 7-79!! Good comeback by the Ganjas.

Markram should have played against us. The conditions here suit his batting. Their team looks a bit of a ragtag collection again and always balanced by requirements of racial groups etc.

Amazing how the former SAf production line of great batsmen has ground to a halt.

Yeah, even we haven’t got any at the moment!skully wrote:Amazing how the former SAf production line of great batsmen has ground to a halt.
There must still be talent there, but for some reason they’re not getting the most out of it.

In his 27th test, AAlzarri Joseph finally takes 4 wickets in an innings. Previous best was 3/33.
Can he turn it into a michelle with one wicket remaining?

A bit of a tail wag by SAf. 221 runs by first 3, then a massive collapse then last 3 added a few handy runs.

Geez, the Ganjas fell away badly to gift to Yarps a decent I1 lead.
They were 3-169 but lost 7-53 to be ao 212. But they did then take 4 SAf wickets for 49. Captain Bavuma bagged a pair.

Dunno. But it is very ordinary batting. Crisis in good schools.

Probably beyond them, but there’s always hope. Well maybe not, as they didn’t pick him
Always thought this would be a bowler’s series, and ever since the first partnership (which will probably still prove the difference) it has been.

Roach has quietly moved above Garner into fifth all-time on the WI wicket-takers list. In a more successful era for them I think he’d get greater recognition.
