Bonk before going the Tonk says Kirsten
Bonk before going the tonk!
WANT longer lasting innings? Then have more sex.
This is the advice from Indian cricket coach Gary Kirsten, which was given to his players in a confidential dossier, The Times reports.
Kirsten argued that the testosterone levels produced during sex helps performances on the field, and players should “indulge” before going out on the pitch.
"Does sex increase performance? Yes it does, so go ahead and indulge," Kirsten reportedly wrote.
"Not having sex for a period of a few months causes a significant drop in testosterone levels in both males and females, with the corresponding passiveness and decrease in aggression."
Kirsten, who has been credited for helping to make the Indian side one of the best one-day teams in the world, also reportedly wrote that having a partner was not always necessary.
"If you want sex but do not have someone to share it with, one option is to go solo whilst imagining you have a partner, or a few partners, who are as beautiful as you wish to imagine."
Australian captain Ricky Ponting laughed when he was asked about the document, The Times reported.
"A team vision document on that would be interesting," Ponting said.
"Actually, no, it wouldn’t. That’s all I can say."
His star batsmen Michael Hussey also commented on the advice.
"I have been away from home for four months so I reckon I’ve forgotten how to do it," Hussey said.
