How grouse is he?

Calls to mind Kipling's poem.

He is no flannelled fool at the wicket, that's for sure.

He is exceedingly good, in fact.

Must admit I thought Siddle was the weak link before the start of the series.

How wrong I was, turns out every other Oz bowler is the weak link and Siddle Vicious is the only strong one.

His bustling hit-the-deck style is very reminiscent of another Victorian, though he does not have the same mincing start to his approach, nor the absurd facial hair.

He's alright, Siddle. Tends to go missing every second test (innings?), though.

Siddle shows up the pathetic show-ponies in the team. He's a traditional fast bowler in that he goes back to his mark and trundles in again and again and again with a minimum of fuss.

Dunno about a traditional fast bowler, but gets top marks for effort.
