Yeah, a reality TV show...

They were pushing this at the grounds during the Tests but I didn't pay much attention to it.

It'll be interesting to see if they pick kids from country areas, or if they go for the safe option of the city kids to draw the ratings.

I think a few countries have done similar things - and found sweet FA in terms of talent.

IIRC, Sussex ended up with the "winner" of the English show, some trundling non-entity, who played no games and was released from his contract ASAP.

I've looked it up - Tim Linley. Went from Sussex's second XI to Middlesex's second XI and was last seen having a game for Surrey's second XI.

At least he's consistent...

It drives the ratings for a while, which is the most important thing.

You're right Jay, I should be forecasting that Hilditch and co will be using this to identify the next Australian captain.
