SA vs. India 1st ODI @ Durban day/night
SA win the toss and choose to bat. India is playing three seamers: Patel, Nehra and Khan. SA is playing Steyn, Morkel, Tsotsobe, Parnell plus one 'spinner' Botha. There will be no Kallis, Gambhir or Sehwag for this series due to injuries. Both teams are likely to showcase some new talent and try things ahead of the World Cup. SA has left out Tahir and Faf du Plessis so they will have to wait for their debuts.
Interesting to note that Sachin scored the one and only double ton in ODIs the last time he played against SA.

Meanwhile, Amla's game is developing all the time. A few years ago the only shot he had seemed to be the leg side flick. Now he's lofting the fast bowlers straight down the ground and timing the pants off every ball he faces.

Amla good man. Brings the subcontinental artistry these saffer can't even dream to possess. That line-up looks so dry without that man.
Where's Kallis? Choking on pies I guess?

I meant for the whole series.
Sooky's shot was ridiculous btw. Talking about throwing one's wicket away. Amla has certaily surpassed him as an ODI opener. Once he abdicates the captaincy throne after the WC, he'll have to earn his place. Ingram very unimpressive.

Once again Indian trundlers tonked to all parts of the ground by SA batsmen. 290 at Durban and that too under lights is equivalent to at least 325 on any other ground.

Vijay's dismissal shows what a huge FTB he is and how much overrated he is.
Simply a pathetic batsman on pitches that do something.

Kohli, Rohit, and Raina fighting for two World Cup spots. Considering his recent form I think Yuvraj should be under pressure as well, but they wont drop him from the ODI side.

And I see loser again going for a few. I can only hope that he gets injured just before WC. Thats the only way Dhoni won't play him in the WC.

No way Dhoni would drop his CSK team mate Raina and Kohli's recent ODI is way too impressive to be ignored.

Outfield is way too slow here at Durban.

Rohit is such a classy batsman. If only he wasn't so lazy.

Thats the difference between the 2 teams. SA bowlers are head and shoulders above their Indian counterparts. They generate so much bounce at such a franatic pace.
That was the difference between the 2 teams in test series as well.

Indeed.
India was nowhere close to this professional SA ODI team. They were simply too good for this Indian team.
