I've no idea why Ian Bell no longer has to earn his selection: he finished bottom of the batting averages in their last Test series, yet has earned a promotion up the order! Work that one out.

Yeah, you're right. Ian Bell is the new Ponting. Minus the drinking, gambling, glued-on hair, piggy eyes (they're more ratty) and talent.
