Swanny's knee
......is a funny shape according Flower (quote from Sky) and he is going to have two weeks rest and will not be available until the 6th ODI.
Why risk him FFS? Send him home and tell him to put his feet up until the WC.

But don't the knees of most avian creatures bend 'the wrong way'? Certainly the case for emus and ostriches.

He's from some backwater village in Northampton, Thrapston / Kislingbury / Creton or something... he's lucky he's got his spinning fingers.

No, they don't, what most people think is a bird's knee is actually the equivalent of a human ankle.

No argument from me Lever, the amount of slabheads I've met in the last year has been immense. F*cking retards, the lot of them. Cultural wasteland.
Re: Swanny's knee
I stand corrected. Regardless of what my knees are actually doing.eowyn wrote:Zat wrote:But don't the knees of most avian creatures bend 'the wrong way'? Certainly the case for emus and ostriches.

Your knees bend the other way? Do you have "Australia's Got Talent"? You could make a fortune if you do,

Re: Swanny's knee
Saw a programme about Brazilian football ledge Garrincha, and he had weird knees. Normal people have knees that either bend inwards or outwards. He had one of each.
His freaky balance made him a great, tricky, unpredictable dribbler. Also gave him arthritis of the knee.

Good times.

Re: Swanny - wouldn't it be worth drafting Rashid into the squad?
I mean, Tredwell and Yardy for five or six games? Goodbye quiet middle overs, hello happy Aussie batsmen filling their boots.
I had predicted 4-1 (weather affected). Bresnan, Shahzad, Tremlett/Woakes, Yardy, Tredwell - England aren't going to win a game.
Might as well get the new Steve Smith into the set-up and give him some experience. Nothing to lose - the series is over.

It looks like England have given up on Rashid for the time being, although I agree that he should have a run out in the current ODIs.
Hell, I'd even settle for Monty to get a game - has to be better than Tredwell shirley?
