I think it's fake. No way a girl can be that coordinated......

There's a few sites showing how Gatorade produced it. There's another one on the supposed 100 yard punt that was used in another commercial.

Snopes gives the best summary or you can google 'Fresno Ballgirl' for more technical stuff.

It was done the night before a scheduled game and they used a dozen or so real players and the real commentator. It doesn't look like an ad because the Gatorade stuff (fence advertising etc) was to be added later, but Gatorade ceased it's association with the production company thus it never went to air, adding to it's authenticism when it went viral.

I think she just used a trampoline and the ball was lobbed to the right place at the right time. Don't think it mentions how many takes it took.

What was that cricket match, probably about 25 years ago, where the cameraman on a cherry picker caught a high flying six, cool as you like? Not as acrobatic as the ballgirl clip, but at least it was genuine. I remember he didn't even bother to remove the cig from his lips.
