2011 WC, 2nd SF, India v Pakistan, Mohali, March 30
Shaping up as the biggest match in ODI history? The fact that tensions between the two Countries have been extra high in the last two years, meaning they haven't played each other for quite a while, makes it extra tasty.

I'm looking forward to that one more than the England game. Hope it isn't a one sided let down.

A bit odd that this is the 2nd SF, played on Wednesday, featuring the two teams that played on Wednesday and Thursday of the previous week, and the 1st SF is played the day before, between the teams playing on Friday and Saturday i.e. the day after India.
Or is the schedule showing the 1st SF on March 29 incorrect?

There's talk of a real clammer to get Shoaib in the Pak side which can only be a good thing for India as he's a fat, pea hearted has-been.

Wahab has been rubbish and Indians are really good players of spin so Rehman shouldn't be included either.
It's worth gambling with Shoaib at a pitch like Mohali which has a bit of pace and bounce.

India has decided to issue 1,500 additional visas to the Pakistani fans wanting to enjoy the second semi-final match of the ICC World Cup in Mohali on March 30. Headlines Today has learnt that the government has made it easier for them to get visas for the match.
In the wake of the crucial match between the two south Asian archrivals - India and Pakistan - these visas would be made available in addition to those already issued for the ongoing tournament.
In what could be described as India's cricket diplomacy, the ministry of external affairs (MEA) has already instructed the Indian high commission in Islamabad to process the requests for visas for the match.
The government has been working on the exact number of visas that would be issued in all, based on the availability of tickets. Also, the mandatory requirement of an Indian sponsor has been waived.
The Pakistani cricket lovers would be allowed entry to India via Wagah and special buses would be on service to ferry them from the border.

2000 tickets have been made available to people crossing the border from Pakistan, and apparently about 1000 of them have already been snapped up by the rich, famous, and well connected.

Can't decide who I want to win this one. Murali V SRT in the final would be pretty epic, so maybe India.
But that would mean supporting India... Difficult decision.

Actually, I'd want India to win that particular final. I don't think Sri Lanka's decent bowling attack have been pushed at all, it's been complete timidity, this has afforded their pedestrian batting line-up to crab as they've wished, without ever having to push themselves. At least the Indians will have the inclination to use their feet, hit straight down the ground and show a propensity to leave their crease.
Who do I want to win the semi final? Pakistan.
