Serjeant made a stirling 81 on debut at Lords and a 124 in a big stand with Woody (251 after coming to the wicket at 3-22) against a full strength Windies to win a Test in the WSC era in the Caribbean. We chased down 362 in the 4th innings to win that match by 3 wkts.

I'd still go with Wally Edwards.

Serjeant was a bigger disappointment. The original Phil Hughes.
