He's already got one entry for his dickhead file, so he might have some growing up to do yet. But doubtless that will happen in time.
(Seeing as the WA selectors put him on his ear until the middle of Dec, how do they feel about having rank pulled on them?)

Aye, am surprised to see him in the CA's XI.
Tho it could be a bit of a wake up call...you're close to national selection to get your act together.

Re: Festive Hill: snzzz's v CXI
Bootpolishers were cruising to a win until Heal nabbed McCullum for 119. Achilles seems to have been the best of the bowlers, with two wickets at the second best econ rate (some young bloke called J. Angel has been tighter so far). Sinclair somehow contrived to be dismissed by the bowling of Dave Hussey.
Afterthought: Giving NAP an invite was fine but Hussey the elder isn't doing much this weekend and might have appreciated a rare chance to play alongside his brother.
EDIT: NZ now 6-225 after 44. Since last check Oram has also fallen to the mystery spin of Braze Jr. (Look out Hoggy!!!!!) Handy jazz duo batting now: Lightning Hopkins and Dizzy Gillespie.

Re: Festive Hill: snzzz's v CXI
Olsen plays for Midland Guildford and is a promising 18 year old ....
Midland Guildford had to pay $50,000 for the Kiwis accomodation to have them play the festival game ...CA refused to pay up .
Pombasher was banned from playing for the Warriors or higher until Dec 14 ....He played WACA first grade and WA Second XI games while banned ...

sounds as if it was a good match tho in the aftermath the snoozzzzies were accused of taking it too seriously..

Why shouldn't they take it seriously? It was the only warm up game they have in Aus before the Chappell Hadlee stuff starts. If you want a touring team to treat Lilac Hill as a casual muck about, then another tour game against a State side should have been scheduled as well.

Re: Festive Hill: snzzz's v CXI
The thing about these 'friendly' matches like Lilac Hill is that they're all nice and fun until the touring team actually loses the game, then the media is all over them like a rash for being too casual and losing in a festival game. They can't really win.

Re: Festive Hill: snzzz's v CXI
I actually thought it was a bit of a strange comment as well, assuming what was actually said and what was reported had any risk of being confused for each other....

The biggest complaint against the Snoozies was that they took 4+ hours to bowl their overs and it delayed lunch ....
