England demolished Hyderabad in the second game. Jonny Bairstow smashed 104 off 53 balls as England made 367-4, and Scott Borthwick took 5-31 off his 10 overs as HyderaBAD were bowled out for 114. England win by just the 253 runs.

KP the only England batsman not to make runs. Still hasn't dome anything to show he has the motivation for ODIs. Surely Bairstow will be picked ahead of him on Friday?

Re: England warm-up game against Hyderabad XI
He's gotten worse almost every year since his debut in ODIs.
For 2011 his average is 28.64, which amazingly is an improvement over his dismal efforts in 2009 and 2010 (18.84 and 17 respectively).
It's been years since he was doing the business on a regular basis in the shorter format. 2008 was his last good year in ODIs. Hasn't scored a century since that year in fact.

Don't worry by the way, Danny. Ian Bell is still sh!tter.

Re: England warm-up game against Hyderabad XI
Aye vilks. Bell didn't play today which may indicate the ball may have dropped with the selectors. Which is fair enough really, KP's averaging similar to him over the last 3 years, only at a much higher strike rate, Bopara has been in good form and the top 3 are undroppable. Bopara will get a spot for his bowling. So that's four of the top 6 sealed. One would posit that an astonishing innings by Bairstow of 104 in 53 balls will seal his place. Therefore it will probably go down to KP v Bell. I expect that the whole media show about KP being on the plane will get him the gig. It's the right choice, out of the two. It may be that with another hitter in the team, he can build an innings more - be more selfish.

Oh, and there was a sperm flood warning today, it was coming from the Hampshire region.
Re: England warm-up game against Hyderabad XI
Aye, KP's strike rate is considerably better than Bell's and he should definately be picked over Bell. His form is a worry though.
Still, he might benefit from the trev effect.

Aye, defo. As Trev no longer Trevs him, he can only improve. In fact, his top Test form coincides with Trev no longer backing him.
Re: England warm-up game against Hyderabad XI
Aye, the Reverse-Trev... possibly the first named one in FB history. Well coined.

Sammy Boy managed to drop two catches. He would have caught the feckers in his teeth if a Mars bar had been strapped to the ball. How long do we have to persevere with this numpty?

Not looking an international cricketer is he?
Great knock by the Ginger Wizard by the looks of it, you would think he would be guaranteed a start now? Or will the solid 18 off 26 before chipping it to cover man win out?

A reverse Trev will only work in hot and dry conditions, once the lacquer has worn off the new Trev. So maybe Pietersen will come good in India.

I would have thought that Bell will miss out. As for Patel, I thought we had weeded out the make weights with Yardy and Wright not being around and then they go and pick Fat Sam. They're going to learn the hard way I think.
