SG wrote:lol. So much concern for me. Didn't know you guys would be as generous. I didn't see many Aussie posters here during those 3 days well. And if you noticed I wasn't here when India had Aus at 4/27 at one stage. So its not that I pick and choose my time at FB as per fate of Indian team.
But why let get facts in the way of your rants.
Thats the whole point of a rant

Re: Australia v India, 1st Test, Melbourne, 26-30 December (II)
As for the test, its India batting which lost this test.
Gambhir is seriously out of form and should've been dropped before this test. But our selectors are dumb and evryone knows this. If they kept on picking Bhajji for such a long period of time then at least Gambhir was ranked no. 1 test batsman once. So I expect more free tests for him in near future.
Sehwag, don't expect anything from hin in the 2nd innings. Whatever he gets should be a bonus. Thats all.
Dravid - Looks his old Aus fears are coming back to haunt him. Dropped such a crucial catch of Hussey which (along with Tendulkar's dismissal in the 1st innings) could be the turning point of this game. TBH to him though he got 2 beauties in both the innings.
Tendulkar - Looked in blazing hot form in both the innings. Looked like he was playing on a different pitch from rest of Indian bats. Even though situation wasn't great for him in the 2nd innings, that shot wasn't on.
VVS - Has always been hopeless at MCG, and hence this test wasn't a surprise.
Virat - Its his first ever test in Aus. I think he'll still come good.
Dhoni - Can never ever rely on Dhoni to get you some tough runs in test cricket. Has always been a softie in tests. So his failure in this test wasn't a surprise. Did some very ordinary captaincy as well. Allowed Aus to come out of precarious situations in both the innings. Overall, a pisspoor test for him.

Besides, India ALWAYS loses first test of an overseas test series. So this result should not be a surprise for those who know Indian cricket.

according to the Melbourne Age...the Bannies have never come back losing the first test of a non subi series to triumph in a series overall
agree with SG assessments of the bannie lineup...I do not understand why VVS is such rubbish in melbourne

That Pattinson is a bit of a c*nt, isn't he. Like a combination of Mcgrath and Broad.

I understand he was responding in kind to a bit of banter he copped on the chin when he was batting
Nice to see an Oz bowler with a bit of mongrel who can back it up - as opposed to clowns like bollybogan and bung
have heard him interviewed several times and he is pretty humble but possesses a nice humour and turn of phrase...he admits to having to watch his white line fever

Because his parents had unprotected sex in England in 1979, and then again in Australia in 1989.

I know, I've now whispered it out loud, no rash comparisons, it now gets put away.

As I said earlier Pattinson is a great addition to this Aus attack. Just that we don't seem to get any promising seamers and are stuck with the likes of Ishant, Sree, RP, Munaf etc.
I know Yadav is showing some good signs but is still nowhere near the class shown by Pattinson.

Why is Yadav nowhere near the class of Pattinson? They are completely different types of bowlers, anyway. Yadav is a wicket taker who might go for a few more runs in search of a wicket, whereas Pattinson is more of a line and length merchant who sits in there on off stump and moves the ball a bit both ways.
