Re: Month of Jabberwocky
Quaint, eh? Cheers. Yeah, my back's to the office because my boss chose the shittest position for IT and the two others have the years there over me to be able to choose their places. So, I can continue on this way, but FB's so garish that it doesn't look 'right'.
Re: Month of Jabberwocky
Couldn't a coding person make FB look like a Financial Ledger or something on their screen?

Re: Month of Jabberwocky
Not that I know of!
What I usually would do is make the browser small, make a notepad text file small, go to web page, ctrl a, ctrl c then to the notepad and ctrl v. Basically pastes all the crap on the page, less pleasurable to read but functional. Takes about 2 seconds though, so is almost unnoticable.

Re: Month of Jabberwocky
I just have the FB window adjusted to about a quarter of the screen area, and avoid having the (as Dan points out) garish FB banner showing on this shrunken window. It just looks like a bunch of sentences that can quickly be minimised.
Ah, I see Dan does sumpent similar.

Re: Month of Jabberwocky
Yeah, I usually just do a small window, but as I've already had my back to the door (although in an enclosed office for four) it's easier to hide. When there's been a lot of traffic I use the notepad method.
Re: Month of Jabberwocky
But see Skulls, that's the trouble with Dan.
He's our FB FTB. ~ Absolutely fills his boots with heaves over the bowler's head and cow corner slogs (and much Brian-Blessed-style diaphram-shaking chortling) when the going is good .... but catch him on a sticky wicket, and his member instantly turns into a needle, gonads shrink to sub-neutrinos, and he barely risks even a bit of a half-c*ck nurdle around the corner.
The Forum Botham turns into the Forum Tavare'. Just apply one boss.

How come I've got the mantle of 'The Forum's Trumper' then?
What do you mean I made it up myself? Prove!

Nudging 8,200 with 4 and a half days to go. I think Mon-keh is right. We should go close to 9,000 easy.

We've cracked 9,000 in the best posting month since last August (when we last cracked 10K). The little Forum that could.

Just imagine what tight Anglo and Indian series would've done for the count.
