Agree with that but the selectors obviously like the hit bit of that equation!!

at least the selectors no longer include members of the Simper family...I think Moo's efforts in the last test were useful...that said it would be great if he could pull off a ton

I think Moo has the class. Just needs to work harder on milking the quick singles to keep his score ticking over.

He could cream a few fours while he is at it ...

He really only has the cut shot. During Aus's successful chase, I lost count of the number of balls he hit straight to one of the two points for yet another dot ball. "er, hit it on the other side of the wicket, ya dozey Tozzy qunt" was murmured at the TV once or twice.embee wrote:skully wrote:I think Moo has the class. Better than getting half your runs through the French cut, looking edgy a lot and lofting yourself out. Cowan went a long way to making sure Aus won the other night.

Er, what? His strike rate was 30, FFS.

He marshalled Aus through the toughest batting period of the match. Allowed all your loose-techniqued f*ckers like WarnerWatsonClarkePonting to face the easier shit. You'd have got blown away otherwise....

Ed Cowan is an untalented version of Alastair Cook.
