Anyway more likely to be seen by our antipodean chums on its own thread*
(* and more easily bumpable as he wrecks Englands top order in the 2013 Ashes!)

phurt . I bowled 8-0-72-0 one bright morning, right in the middle of the worst hangover in the history of my world.
The others slippers objected to me barfing where I stood, between overs. Flakey team mates they were.

First rule of Aus cricket. Those named Mitchell are shite and are not to be picked.

At one point I considerately walked out of the cordon & parked a bucketful 3 or 4 steps behind the keeper. The result was that I sloshed through my own gastic juice & carrots next over.

That's well funny... better than just turning up and getting tonked.

No surprise that I was called lots of things.
I was living in a residential college & had the contents of my room relocated to the quadrangle when it came our turn to bat. I wasn't happy my collection of stick books were rearranged on the top of my bed.

Re: Mitchell Starc
Seriously on Starc though, as a tall leftie who swings it with a nice upright action, he really has great potential. At the moment he tends to spray them a bit. If he can get some good coaching he could do well in English conditions.

You used to be so good to our teams though, now it's all 'Phillip Hughes' and 'Shaun Tait'... I don't know what we ever did to you.
Re: Mitchell Starc
To his dying day, my ol' man was adamant that if Nathan Bracken (another tall leftie) had've been picked for the 2005 Ashes (and he was very close to selection after a massive season for NSW. He was in career-best form) we would not have lost that epic series.Mick Sawyer wrote:skully wrote:Seriously on Starc though, as a tall leftie who swings it with a nice upright action, he really has great potential. Aye, a snapshot of where Aus cricket is at the moment. The conveyor belt has been lean since about 2005.Brass Monkey wrote:lardbucket wrote:you'll take anybody, let's face it

Skully, if you'd have picked anyone but Shaun Tait you'd have probably not lost that Ashes series
(Wow, two Shaun Tait jibes in less that 5 minutes - both relevant - well done, Daniel, you've done so well that it's OK that you're talking in the third person)
Re: Mitchell Starc
I mean looking back now, that great Aus team lost the urn to Ashley Giles, Geraint Jones and a genuine malteser balled Bell.
Heh.
Heh.
