Spectacular titties or no, I reckon it prolly deserves its own thread. If nothing else, to hear h have a gripe about Fleas' shitty efforts for Aus.

Aye.
Well done on a fine career Fleas. Probably the most underappreciated Test cricketer we've had in a generation. Actually, I can't think of any other who was such a consistently solid performer who was so frequently butt farked by the selectors and management.

Repost from Aus off-season thread...
Thanks for the efforts, Fleas. simkat will be devoed.
A man who made the most of his limited stroke range, and rarely let Australia down. Yet he was exceedingly harshly treated by quntish selectors on a number of occasions, including the move to end his Test career. Qunts.
Give that Hildick punching bag one more hard left for me, Katto. Enjoy your retirement.

No more Clarke choke holds then!
Distinctly remember him pointing his bat at the commentary box after an ODI ton.

His last innings encapsulated his efforts for Australia - more grit and determination on one leg than half his team-mates. Valued his wicket highly.
Shafted by an idiot - I am surprised horrie rated this decision by Hilditch so highly.

Of interest perhaps; from to time at the Centre of Excellence (with the full squad in camp) they would do centre wicket work with a bowling machine set on a particular line & length. Batsmen were/are required to play a shot to a part of the ground nominated by the co-ordinator just before the ball was delivered. Fleas was consistently the best at hitting the fence in the nominated sector.

Interesting drill as you predominantly get told to never premeditate a shot

It's a drill, rather than centre wicket batting practice. Bringing it back to me, I spend 20% of my golf practice time hitting balls standing only on my front leg. It's designed to incrementally develop capabilities. Clearly fleas tempered his shot selection in match conditions but the drill would have assisted him in finding gaps in the field.
