Taylor's playing a blinder so far, looks really composed at the crease. Even started walking at the seamers.

Sheep on fire. How is Eranga bowling?
And I do wonder how Todd Astle got a gig with his form and record. They just seem to call up anyone that turns up in white.

And Kitchen doesn't even get a look in. Eranga's been wholly untrustworthy, dobber-like, loose.

Must be worried that he'd be undercooked.

Taylor's ton up. Bit dour in the second half of it, but still a good effort.
Re: Sri Lanka v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Colombo (PSS), 25-29 November, 2012
Think the Sheep will be even more pleased with the dour part of the innings.

Think they'll be even more pleased that he got dropped on 14.

Eranga's managed to find an extra bit of pace, NZ are looking less comfortable now.
Re: Sri Lanka v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Colombo (PSS), 25-29 November, 2012
Oh, I can see why the pace is coming... he looks a little, ahem, 'kinky' in the action department.

He's Lankan, that's a prerogative.

This is a flat deck. Taylor - fair enough, he's class, but Williamson - FFS, he'd be lucky to be Sydney 2nd Grade standard - 200 p'ship FFS. Where's Murali?

Rain stopped play before Williamson can crab to his ton.
Decent enough player, though. He's only quite young. Plenty of potential.

Test cricket is a funny game these days. Who would have picked that the Kiwis would be in this position considering the way they played in the last test? Of course, there's still the chance they'll collapse to 300 all out tomorrow, and then Mahela and Sanga could bat, and bat, and bat, and bat......

Meanwhile, I see Martin Guptill failed again against a half decent team. He averages something ridiculous like 20 against teams that aren't Bangladesh or Zimbabwe. A complete imposter.

Not many folk know this, but Kane Williamson's father was a famous physicist.

He'd probably still be better than Everton van Wyk.
