Aussie dream seam team for India/Ashes?

Very interesting read from Malcolm Knox. He assesses each bowler on his merits, compares some to bowling counterparts, factors in fitness and opposition. Agree that we had to scrape the bottom of the barrel but it appeared to be a large barrel.
If only the batting barrel was similar.

I feel a bit sorry for Ben Hilfenhaus. He seems to get criticised left, right, and centre, but the fact is, he took 37 wickets @ 21 in 2012.

Rocket is probably still a better bowler than most of our current spin options

Agree with that bit, Bollinger is not quality. Harris's figures are great but the reality is he's unlikely to string two tests together.

I concur.
And terrible article, I listed far more bowlers than that that are "in the barrel".
For the future Pattinson/Cummins/Starc/Brid/Cutting is going to be an absolute ownage stike force if they can develop them properly...and they stay fit.

hilf was good last summerr against the clueless bannies and actually moved the ball
unforch this summer he reverted to bowling his roundarm gun barrell straight pies...Bird showed him up with a better technique and moved the ball through the air and off the seam...would need terrific performances in the remaining part of the shield season to get back into some sort of contention

I don't think there's anybody doesn't feel for Hilf, who showed a few blokes with mountains more ability what can be done with 100% effort, but his time has come and gone.

Hilf would always be far more effective in England than Johnson.
Re: Aussie dream seam team for India/Ashes?
Possibly, but get all the younger blokes fit at once (it is mathematically possible), and Johnno's back in the crowd too.
