South Africa v Pakistan, 2nd Test, Cape Town, 14-18 February, 2013
So will Almighty Allah come to the Wackies rescue and bequeath them a much improved performance in T2, or will he save all his good grace for Amla?

Hope he has some energy left after his alias just helped Ray Lewis and his Raven's become world champions.

Well He abandoned Mundine the other night so maybe the Paks are owed one.

Any news on AB? It was said yesterday that his finger might be broken. If so I guess that means de Kock coming in.

According to the presentation ceremony speeches it was just a little bruise.

Very long break between games, i hope the players can go to the beach and admire the beauty gifted by Allah(or they can just look at Red's profile pics)
Pakistan will surely play Irfan, there is a lot of talk about batting but in fact it is the pace bowling which was the biggest difference in the first test match. Since 1998 Pakistan have only won 3 test matches(lost around vs SA and ALL 3 of them were won due to serious contributions from Shoaib Akhtar.

Selection is all over the place for Pakistan, there are talks about the Akmal brothers joining an already LARGE squad. Iqbal Qasim sahib was a very fine player but he has been a very average selector(probably due to poor health he hasn't watched many domestic matches) and it is time to bring Mohsin Khan back

Pakistan have had enough time now to get accustomed to the conditions. There are some injuries but nothing too serious. There are some talks about dropping Azhar Ali but i dont agree with that, PAK cant afford to drop a batsman with such a fine temperament.

SA wins the toss and invites the Pakistanis to bat. Big Irfan makes his debut.

Pakistan batting steadily here. Will want to apply some scoreboard pressure with SA batting last on a dry strip.

Wickets have dried up for SA. Guess they're banking on batting once and posting a huge total. Interesting decision perhaps to bowl first on a dry pitch considering they chose to bat first on a tricky one in JB.

Kallis is an amazing player
17 years after his debut he can still bowl at around 140 KPH! His batting is still very good as well....

4 overs for wickets to fall, but a top partnership this. Shafiq seems the goods.

That was the biggest partnership ever for PAK vs SA.
After being bowled out for 49 Shoaib Akhtar said that Asad Shafiq is currently the best Pakistani batsman and so far he seems to be spot on.
